One offender smashed the glass door of the business with an aluminum baseball bat and attempted to remove the ATM while his companion put down the tailgate on the truck. As the first offender shook the ATM, causing its screens to blink wildly, the other offender ran to the door and they both ran back to the truck. They were unsuccessful in stealing the ATM but caused more than $1,000 worth of damage to the store and the ATM.

The offenders drove away traveling east on West Washington Street. Both wore gloves and dark clothes and are thought to be adults, according to the release. One is possibly a white male.
