A recent gathering of the Burgess and Moore Family and Friends in Washington, N.C. created the perfect setting for presenting honors, especially for Mr. and Mrs. Herman M. White of Suffolk. That is when they chose to honor Willie A Moore as the No. I driver for H.M. White Bus Service.
Moore was given a certificate of appreciation and monogrammed driving jacket in the company’s colors – blue and white.
On hand to witness this happy event was his wife, Dorothy Moore, and their son, Alvin, who were also presented tokens of appreciation.
White said the criteria needed for winning this award, which is presented every six months to deserving drivers, are as follows: (1) most miles driven, (2) accepting dispatchers without complaining, (3) safe driving record, (4) punctuality, (5) initiative, (6) courtesy, (7) dependability, and (8) appearance.
White, the owner of the bus service, congratulates Moore for a job well done because he filled all of these criteria.
