The congregation of Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ will dedicate its church at noon Saturday. Bishop Ted Thomas Sr., the number one Jurisdictional Prelate of Virginia, will officiate.

The theme is &uot;Instilling the Vision Within the Next Generation.&uot; This is taken from Proverbs 29:18, &uot;Where there is no vision the people perish.&uot;

Elder Larry Gray Sr. has been the pastor there for 16 years. In 1997, Gray said that the Lord gave him a vision to enlarge the sanctuary and a new addition that includes four classrooms, four bathrooms, dining hall, kitchen, finance, and pastor’s office. With the enlargement of the sanctuary the church has also added a new baptismal pool and an audio system room.

The church is located at 1732 Mt. Lebanon Avenue.
