King’s Fork Middle School students and faculty played a group of local firemen to a 65-65 tie on Friday afternoon. The Jaguars scored nine points in the final minute to tie the game, capped off with a three-pointer by Darrell Lewis (above). The game was held to benefit six local families. With the funds raised, the school purchased the families gift certificates to businesses such as Wal-Mart, furniture, and other Christmas gifts. The school also paid a portion of the water and electric bills. Hillcrest Baptist Church and Windsor Christian Church aided King’s Fork in obtaining the gifts. Below, Suffolk Fire Department Station
