Delvin L. Jones, 14, of Kilby Avenue, Suffolk, was called home on Friday, Jan. 24, 2003.

He was the son of Marveen (Lisa) Jones and Kenneth (&uot;K.P.&uot;) Plain.

He was a student at Forest Glen Middle School.

He is survived by his parents; four sisters, Kenay, Delta, KeYonna and Monda Jones, all of Suffolk; his maternal grandparents, Marvee and Delphine Jones of Suffolk; his paternal grandmother, Gladys P. Brown of Suffolk; four aunts; and numerous cousins, family members and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Gatling Family Cemetery in Sunbury, N.C.

Viewing will begin at noon Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations for Delvin and his family can be made in the following manner: Please make checks payable to the Jeffrey T. Messinger Memorial Fund. In the memo section of the check, please write, &uot;For Delvin Jones.&uot; Mail checks to: Jeffrey T. Messinger fund, 400 Market St, Suffolk, Va., 23434.
