Joe Schimming, Jonathan Cohen, Brian Hawk and Jason Brown won their respective matches in Nansemond River’s 55-20 loss to host Kellam High School on Thursday. The school’s exam schedule kept them away from the St. Christopher tournament on Friday.

Saints, Lady Saints lose on court

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy suffered a 53-50 loss to visiting Atlantic Shores on Friday. Allen Bynum led the Saints with 18 point, and Robert Crumpler had 12. It was the last home game for the Saints, who will visit Norfolk Christian on Monday. The junior varsity Saints, led by also fell to the younger Seahawks on Friday, falling 61-53 in overtime.

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy volleyball team also fell 26-28, 20-25, 20-25 to visiting Norfolk Collegiate on Friday evening. The Lady Saints will host Nandua on Tuesday.
