William R. Cauble

Wadesboro, N.C. – Mr. William Randle Cauble, 88, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in Anson Community Hospital.
He was born in Anson County on Jan. 16, 1915, a son of the late Abbie Alexander and Ollie Blanche Hildreth Cauble.
Mr. Cauble had retired from the Newport News Shipyard in Newport News with more than 25 years of service, and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Wallace officiating.
The family will greet friends tonight from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Henry Cauble of the home; his daughters and son-in-law, Margaret and Dewey Autry and Phyllis Daniels, all of Suffolk; his grandchildren, Herbert Autry of Suffolk, Amy Venturi of Chesapeake; Regina Mantz of Harper’s Ferry, W Va.; and Belinda Hartoon of Norfolk; his great-grandchildren, Gaelan Venturi, Tarah Mantz, Heather Turner, Amber Turner, and Jamey Turner; his sisters, Vera Faggart of Charlotte; Ruby Rorie of Wadesboro; Gladys Allen of Burnsville; Hilda Stock and Kay DesRoche, both of St. Louis, Mo.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to Dr. Syed Haider and the staff of Anson Community Hospital for their devotion and care given during Mr. Cauble’s illness.
