David Lee Cross, 47, of 620 Adkins Circle, Suffolk, VA died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late Louise Cross and McDonald Cross Sr.

He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Davion J. Cross of Gates, N.C.; two brothers, Elfonsey Cross (Armenta) of Suffolk and McDonald Cross (Susan) of Springfield, MA; nieces, Tanisha and Karina Cross of Springfield, Mass.; a cousin and close friend like a brother, Garner Lee Hobson of Suffolk; a fiancée, Connie Walton of Gates, N.C.; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
