A Suffolk man is charged with four felonies after police say he fired a shot into his ex-girlfriend’s home and was found in possession of several firearms.
David Lynn Meacham, 41, was arrested Sunday. Police allege that Meacham went to his ex-girlfriend’s house on Great Fork Road on Saturday and fired a single shot into the home, which was occupied by three adults and three children at the time. Nobody was injured, said Suffolk spokeswoman Debbie George.
When police offers arrived at Meacham’s home Sunday to arrest him, they allegedly found six rifles, three handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, which Meacham cannot legally possess because he is a convicted felon. Police placed him under arrest on charges of attempted malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and threatening phone calls.
