Sandy E. Blowe

Sandy Eure Blowe, 42, of US Hwy. 13, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mrs. Blowe was the co-owner of Blowe and Spady, CPAs, PC in Suffolk. She and her partner, Frank A. Spady, III established thebusiness in December, 1987.
A graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, she became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina in October 1984 and in Virginia in October 1987. As a board member and treasurer of
Suffolk Festivals, Inc., from 1989 to 1996, she served as chairwoman of the Suffolk Peanut Fest in 1992 and was co-chairperson in 1995.
Sandy was an active member of Gatesville United
Methodist Church and served as its treasurer. She first played the piano in church at the age of nine and by age 13 was the church organist. She served as organist continually until her death except for the four years while attending college.
Her father, Alvin C. Eure, preceded her death in February 2000. Survivors include her husband of nearly 20 years, Ricky Blowe, her mother, Bessie Jernigan Eure of Gatesville and many extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Gatesville United Methodist Church by the Rev. William Clements. Burial will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville and all other times at the home of her mother, Main St., Gatesville.
