Mrs. Christine J. Peoples of the 500 Block of S. Broad St., Suffolk, died May 4, 2003, in Autumn Care Nursing Home.

A native of North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Mamie Jordan and the widow of Frank Peoples.

She was a member of Antioch United Church of Christ and a deaconess, and had retired from Parker Peanut Co.

She is survived by a goddaughter, Rosa Bivins of Suffolk.

The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. May 7, 2003, in Oaklawn Cemetery by the Rev. Jarvis Jones.

Family and friends will assemble at 12:45 p.m. at the gravesite.
