Laverne Delach Walker, 60, of 105 Raleigh Dr., Suffolk, died May 7, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Delach and Laverne Kovach Delach.

She was a retail manager with Fashion Cents, and was a member of Open Door Church, Suffolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Walker of Suffolk; sons, John Walker of Gaithersburg, Md.; and Peter Walker of Richmond; six grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryellen D. and Les Ceney of Gatesville, N.C.; eight nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell and Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Peaks officiating. Interment will be private.

Friends may join the family immediately after the service at the funeral home.
