During National Tourism Week (May 10-18), the Suffolk Division of Tourism invites visitors and residents to stop by the Visitor Center to register for a special gift basket packed with local products and services.
Mayor E. Dana Dickens III will randomly draw a winner during the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony for the Suffolk Hilton and Conference Center.
Travelers visiting Suffolk contribute $31 million to the local economy and provide employment for 407 people, generating a payroll of $6 million.
The mission of the Tourism Division is to improve the level and quality of tourism activity in the City of Suffolk and to increase awareness of the natural, historic, cultural, and architectural heritage of the City. The Suffolk Visitor Center is located in the heart of historic downtown Suffolk in the Prentis House (c. 1800) located at 321 N. Main Street.
A wealth of brochures and maps offer fine points of interests of Suffolk, the Hampton Roads region and communities across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Open Sunday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
