A 15-year-old Turlington Woods School student has been charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and destruction of property after allegedly cutting the seat of a school bus.
The driver discovered the seat had been cut after dropping students off at school Friday, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. The incident was reported to school administrators, who discovered a box cutter in the male student’s backpack.
Nobody was threatened or injured, George added.
The student has been recommended for expulsion, schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said.
