John Russell Jordan

Sr., 67, 613 Brook Ave., Suffolk, died June 20, 2003.

He was born in Suffolk and was the son of the late Margaret Wheeler and the late Clarence Jordan Sr.

He was a retired concrete finisher with Wilmik, Inc. He was Mason. He attended Olive Branch Baptist Church in Suffolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Copeland (Ronnie), and Virginia Cynthia Jordan, both of Suffolk; stepdaughters, Shirley Mae Young of Smithfield and Virginia and Sharon Gholston of Suffolk; a son, John Russell Jordan Jr., (Sonya) of Suffolk; a sister, Levora Smith of Suffolk; devoted friends, Ruby Lassiter and Cathy Baker of Suffolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home at 685 Carolina Rd. Burial will be in Christian Home Cemetery, Isle of Wight County. Professional services provided by Harris Funeral Home, Inc.
