Police say that the card was left at an ATM in Chesapeake. The suspect later used the card at Suffolk’s College Drive Walmart on Feb. 7 at 11:40 p.m. He bought nearly $1,000 worth of gift cards and a cell phone.
The suspect later used the gift cards at a Newport News Walmart.
Police obtained photos of the suspect from surveillance video taken at both stores. Pending charges include credit card theft, credit card fraud, obtaining money by false pretense and two counts of credit card forgery.
