Krystal White, Christopher Turner exchange vows in Southside Baptist

The marriage of Krystal Marie White and Christopher Wade Turner took place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003, in Southside Baptist Church.
The Rev. Stewart R. McCarter officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Snead and Mr. Randolph M. White of Suffolk.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William &uot;Billy&uot; Briggs of Sunbury, N.C.
The bride is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Doris Wilkins, and the late Mr. Benny Small, and the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Lillian Agnes McMillan of Suffolk, and the late Mr. Waverly M. White.
The groom is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Ruth Cox, and the late Mr. Cox, and the paternal grandson of Mrs. Mary Ellen Briggs of Sunbury, and the late Mr. Briggs.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father to the music of &uot;A Moment Like This,&uot; and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a wedding gown designed by Michael Angelo, which featured a satin corset bodice with a full tulle skirt accented with beaded Alencon motifs.
Her veil was a double layer of elbow-length illusion that fell from a pearl and diamond tiara to complete her princess look.
Tina Small, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Kristy White, Michelle Gregory, Brooke Lewis, Kelly Lewis, Amanda Barefoot, all cousins of the bride; Danielle Kline and Melissa Weiss, friends of the bride.
Junior bridesmaids were Stella Small and Jenny Barefoot, cousins of the bride.
Flower girls were Doris Ann Barefoot and Alexis Small, cousins of the bride.
Program attendants were Courtney Luter, cousin of the bride, and Claudia Graham, friend of the bride.
Mr. William &uot;Billy&uot; Briggs was his son’s best man.
The groomsmen were: Dustin Briggs, brother of the groom; Chase White, brother of the bride; David Strickland, Quinton Chappell, Brian Bennett, and Mike Poston, friends of the groom.
Junior groomsman as Richard Small, cousin of the bride.
Ring bearer was Matthew Snead, brother of the bride.
Mrs. Virginia Small, Mrs. Cecelia Strickland and Mrs. Kandy Lewis, aunts of the bride, were mistresses of ceremony.
Soloist was Mrs. Lynn Jones, who sang &uot;There You Are,&uot; and Brian Holland, who sang &uot;That’s the Beat of a Heart.&uot; Mrs. Rachel Bright was the pianist.
The church was decorated by Ray Bennett of Ray’s Florist.
After the wedding, the reception was held in the Planters Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Turner honeymooned in Cancun, and after their return they will make their home in Gates County, N.C.
