WINDSOR—An 18-year-old Windsor High School student and a 19-year-old man were charged with assault after a Friday fight at Windsor High School that resulted in a precautionary lockdown, Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Department reported.

The suspects’ names were not released.

Police were called at 2:30 p.m. for a fight in the lobby of the school. The suspects had a fight two weeks ago, and upon encountering each other in the high school lobby, they began to fight again, police said. The 19-year-old is not a student, but was there picking up someone.

Windsor Middle School students, who were on buses in the high school parking lot, remained on their buses supervised by school employees. Students and buses were delayed in dismissal by about 20 to 30 minutes during the investigation, according to police.
