Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Harrell Jr. of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Leigh Harrell, to Ross Culbertson Finley of Fort Worth, Texas.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee S. Finley Jr. of Fort Worth.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Harrell Sr. of Suffolk, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick D. Worrell, who lived in Newsoms.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dee S. Finley Sr., who lived in Fort Worth, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Groner, who lived in Baytown, Texas.

Miss Harrell is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and North Carolina State University with a degree in industrial design.

She is employed by the Bombay Company in Fort Worth.

Mr. Finley has a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s of business from Texas Christian University.

He is employed by the Bank of America in Fort Worth.

The couple will be married May 1, 2004, at the home of the bride’s parents.
