History was made at the Nansemond River Golf Course this past weekend, as the Colonial Athletic Association tournament was held at the Suffolk course for the first time. UNC Wilmington won the tournament for the first time in school history, and Towson’s Billy Wingerd (right) became the first player from his school to win the individual title, holing a 25-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to defeat Old Dominion University’s Greg Sampson and James Madison University’s Jay Woodson.
