Lakeland senior Andrea Wheeler won three individual events at the Southeastern District track meet Thursday at Lakeland. Wheeler took home the 100- and 300-hurdles with times of 14.37 and 46.3 seconds, and soared 18 feet to take the long jump.

Grover the one to win in Saints’ 8-1 loss

Bart Grover was the lone Saint to win his respective match as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lost 8-1 to Hampton Roads Academy in tennis on Thursday.

Cultural Arts golf tourney scheduled for May 1 at SGC

A golf tournament to benefit the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts will be held May 1 at the Suffolk Golf Course. Entry fee is $50, and the first 60 golfers will be admitted. Tee-off times will range from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
