Victor Taglis, who made All-Southeastern District honors playing goalkeeper at Lakeland High School, hopes to continue his success on the soccer fields of Chowan College.

&uot;I have a chance of starting right away,&uot; said Taglis, who also played volleyball at Lakeland. &uot;I can compete with two other people for the starting job.&uot;

He plans to study business management. &uot;I wanted something to fall back on for the restaurant,&uot; he said (Taglis’ family owns George’s Steakhouse on Holland Road). &uot;I wanted a better idea of how to run it, like with finances and advertising.&uot;
