Johnson, Bishop named top Saint athletes of 2003-4

Ryan Johnson and Britney Bishop received their respective Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Sports Cups as the top two Saint athletes of 2003-4.
Johnson made All-TCIS honors in baseball and football, helping the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy football team to two consecutive undefeated seasons and an integral part of the baseball team that won the league title last season. He also played basketball.
Bishop made All-TCIS honors in basketball, soccer and swimming, including two league Most Valuable Player swimming performances. She also played volleyball at NSA.
Suffolk Blazer golf tourney comes June 23
The Suffolk Blazers will hold a charity golf classic June 23 at the Nansemond River Golf Club to raise money for the youth basketball team’s expenses in traveling to national competition, which could run into the high five-figure marks. An entry fee of $95 includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, free drinks and lunch. The format is four-person best ball team. Call 735-3814 for details.
