Junior tennis camp to be held at Mast Tennis Complex

The Howard Mast Tennis Complex will be holding Suffolk’s first Junior Tennis Camp from June 27 to July 3. Players 12 to 18 will be accepted.
The program will consist of a five-hour oncourt routine of live drills and feed drills with special attention to grips, strokes, footwork and techniques, all intermeshed with lectures on attitude, and court manners on and off the court.
Registration and evaluation will begin at 2 p.m., June 27. Entry blanks may be ordered by telephone number 934-7822. The fee is $125 (check, money order or cash). The cost includes lunch every day.
All participants must abide by the rules of the United States Tennis Association, the Suffolk Tennis Association, the city of Suffolk, and the tennis camp. The program will begin at 9 a.m. June 28 and end at 3 p.m. July 3.
The camp director is Howard Mast, who has 50 years tennis experience. Lakeland High School tennis coach Randolph Holland, a top-level USTA professional and certified referee, will be responsible for program contest. Several local instructors and college players will be on the staff.
