Annie N. Harrell

Annie Mary Nixon Harrell, 91, of the 100 block of Huron Trail, N.C. died Sunday, July 11, 2004 in Chowan Hospital.
Mrs. Harrell was born in Chowan County, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Dixie Bunch Nixon.
A homemaker, she was also a retired housemother for the Obici School of Nursing in Suffolk and was a member of the Rocky Hock Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Mark Harrell, a grandson, Noland Gene Harrell, and sisters, Lucy Nixon, Lizzie Peele, Cora Bunch, Essie Harrell, Willietta Whiteman, Bessie Bunch and Hettie Byrum.
Surviving are her two sons and their wives, Kermit and Mary Harrell of Edenton, N.C. and Gene and Esther Harrell of Suffolk; a sister, Helen Harrell of Gates, N.C.; a brother, Robert Nixon of Edenton, N.C.; four grandchildren, Chuck Harrell and wife Chrissa of Richmond, Mark Harrell and wife Vicki of Altus, Okla., Amy Richter and husband Doug and Carla Robinette and husband Matt, all of Norfolk; and six great-grandsons, Joshua, Christopher, Matthew and Fletcher Harrell and Ethan and Tyler Richter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home by Dr. James Hortan, pastor of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home and all other times at the home of Kermit and Mary Harrell, 1607 Crow Trail, Edenton, N.C.
