Mr. Lewis W. Hobbs, 80, widower of Gisela S. Hobbs, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004. He is survived by one daughter, Christine H. Delk and her husband, Ricky, and one grandson, Chris Delk, all of Suffolk; one sister, Elizabeth Gregory of Warsaw; and one brother, George Hobbs of Emporia. Mr. Hobbs is a World War II veteran and retired as sergeant first class.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Fountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Emporia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fountain Creek Baptist Church.
