James Vernon Brinkley, 88, of Suffolk, Va., passed away Dec. 26, 2011.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Cypress Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. Chris Surber officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
