Kenneth A. Corson, Sr.

Kenneth Asa Corson, Sr., 87, died November 3, 2004 in Bon Secours Maryview Nursing Care.
Born September 22, 1917 in Eclipse, Va., he was the son of the late Minnie Moger and George Asa Corson. Mr. Corson was preceded in death by his wife Mary Virginia Hunt Corson and son Kenneth A. Corson, Jr. Mr. Corson served in the US Army during WWII, he was a charter member of C E& H Ruritan Club, member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and a machinist for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, retiring from SUPSHIPS Newport News Shipbuilding.
Survivors include his daughter Judith C. Carter and husband Don of Suffolk; two brothers, Maynard V. Corson and wife Mary Charlotte of Newport News, W. Gene Corson and wife Patricia of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Lori C. Daugherty and husband Dr. Wilson P. Daugherty of Rochester, MN, and Lisa C. LeBlanc and husband Christopher D. of Raleigh, N.C.; and a grandson Carter Thomas Daugherty.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by the Rev. Carl J. LeMon, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Baker-Foster Funeral Home. Bennett’s Creek Chapel.
