Warriors hold Toys for Tots wrestling tourney

Nansemond River will welcome 15 visiting wrestling squads and collect toys for kids with the third annual Mike Duman Toys for Tots Holiday Invitational all day Friday.
With wrestling starting at 9 a.m. and the finals in 14 weight classes set for around 6 p.m., spectators who bring a new toy will get an all-day pass to the tournament at a reduced price.
Bethel, Cosby, Currituck (N.C.), Deep Creek, Dinwiddie, Great Bridge, Hampton, Kecoughtan, Menchville, New Kent, Norview, Poquoson, Smithfield, Tabb and Warhill will join the Warriors.
Through the early part of the season, the Warriors have two undefeated meet titles to their credit.
The Warriors beat Bruton and Churchland in a tri-meet at Churchland. NR went 5-0, including wins over city rivals King’s Fork and Lakeland, to win the King’s Fork Battleground Duals.
