Calvin Cheeks

Calvin &uot;Cheeko&uot; Cheeks, 55, of 308 Roland Street, Suffolk, died November 14, 2004 in the Veterans Medical Center, Hampton. He was a native of Suffolk and was the son of the late, Marie Cheeks-Wiggins and Casper Cheeks, Sr.

He was a graduate of the Suffolk Public School System, Lake City Community College, and Norfolk State University. He was the President and CEO of E – Integrated Solutions. He was a member of St. Stephen Pentecostal Holiness Church. His wife, Doris Cheeks; three daughters, Traci L. Cheeks of Raleigh, N.C., Shameka L. Cheeks of Baltimore, Md., and Jessica Langston of Suffolk survive him. One son, Kareem Ali Cheeks of Richmond; five sisters, Allene Knight (Samuel), Elouise Cheeks of Suffolk, Minister Lennis Taylor (Barney) of Oxon Hill, Md., Minister Elnora Grant, and Rekida Johnson of Suffolk; two brothers, Casper Cheeks, Jr. of Danbury, Ct., and Russell Cheeks of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Jordan Camille Chambers; twin nephews who were like brothers, Steven and Stephen; a special cousin, Herbert Cheeks, Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memory, aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Elder Steven Cheeks, Pastor of Greater St. Steven Church, Whaleyville will hold the Memorial service at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2004 in Crocker Funeral Home.
