A Suffolk man escaped serious injury when his car flipped on Moore Avenue in Suffolk around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Adam Yu, 22, who recently moved to the city from New York, was treated and released from Obici Hospital, said Suffolk Police Officer John McCarley.

Yu, driving a Lexus east toward Norfolk, lost control of the car as it rounded the curve near the intersection of Moore and Pinner avenues, said McCarley. He drove off the edge of the road and struck the curb, which caused his car to flip, he said.

Yu, who was wearing his seat belt, was charged with reckless driving, McCarley said.

Neither speed nor alcohol factored into the accident, he added.
