Grand jury hands down sex charge indictments

A 50-year-old Suffolk man was indicted Tuesday on multiple sexual misconduct charges against a juvenile.
A grand jury charged Calvin Bernard Hunt with five counts of rape and six counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
Hunt, who was arrested in September, will go to trial on Feb. 23.
Also on Tuesday, the grand jury handed down indictments against Marion Deon Wilkins, 18, and a 15-year-old juvenile, both of Suffolk, for their involvement in several armed robberies last month.
Wilkins and the juvenile were arrested on Oct. 21, after reportedly holding up several individuals at gunpoint in the 900 block of Lincoln Street, said Sgt. Stephen W. Smith, Suffolk Police spokesman.
Wilkins was charged with one count each of robbery, assault and battery, unlawful wearing of a mask in public and possession of a sawed-off shotgun; two counts of attempted robbery; and three counts each of conspiracy and using a firearm.
The juvenile was charged with one count each of assault and battery, robbery and grand larceny;
two counts of attempted robbery; and three counts each of conspiracy and using a firearm.
Both will be tried in Suffolk Circuit Court on Jan. 28, 2005.
