Editor, the News-Herald:

I had hoped the Christmas decorations in Suffolk would improve this year but it hasn’t. I don’t know if it’s from the lack of funds or that the person who budgeted for Christmas decorations does not value showing the Christmas spirit in the decorations displayed in downtown Suffolk.

If it is caused by a shortage of funds, I feel the merchants downtown would contribute to improving the scenery. I think our city looks worse than any of the surrounding cities.

The decorations look cheap.
