James Andrew Huddle

James Andrew Huddle, 63, of Suffolk, died December 4, 2004. A native of Norfolk, he retired after 33 years as a criminal investigator for the Virginia State Police. He was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ where he was a deacon and a member of the Jr. Baracca Class. He was a member of Shriner’s Khedive Temple and also a member of the McAlister Masonic Lodge #185 where he was a past master. He was the son of the late Frances S. and Eugene P. Huddle.
Jim Huddle was a wonderful husband to Joan for 42 years.
They shared many wonderful times together through family, church, and traveling.
He had a deep love for his two daughters, Dana and Robyn, and his four grandchildren.
He always enjoyed playing with them and teasing them.
Jim touched many lives through his faith in Jesus, wisdom and compassion.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Belanga Huddle of Suffolk, his daughters and sons-in-law: Dana H. and Chris Weaver of Suffolk, and Robyn H. and Robert Chapman of Clarksville; his four grandchildren, Jessica Weaver, Warren Weaver, Danielle Chapman, and Bryan Chapman, and a sister, Jean Love of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Holy Neck United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dolan Talbert officiating. Interment will be at the Holland Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Friends may join the family Monday night at Parr Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday
and other times at the residence.
