Thelma B. Deloatch

Mrs. Thelma B. Deloatch, 73, of 2214 Florida Ave., died on March 8, 2005 in Obici Hospital. She was a native of Southampton County. She was the daughter of the late William &uot;Willie&uot; Brown and Nancy Stith Brown. She was the widow of George Deloatch Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Bates of Chesapeake and Joyce Bond (Robert) of Norfolk; five sons, William Turner of Woodbridge, Vance Turner and wife Celia of Washington D.C., Carlton Deloatch of Jersey City, Leslie Deloatch of Portsmouth, George Deloatch Jr. of Suffolk; six sisters, Joyce Lane of Zuni, Barbara James (Charles) and Lorraine Brown of Suffolk, Catherine Hood (Donnel) and Hazel Gainous of Norfolk, and Gloria Parker of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Joseph Brown of Wakefield, Earl and Eugene Brown of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, March 14, 2005 at Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church by Bishop Dwight Whitfield. The interment will be held in Nansmeond-Suffolk Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday, March 13, 2005. The family will be at 2001 Woodshire Way.
