Oakland Christian Church

Shiloh Baptist Church

The Trustee Ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church, 9000 Fire Tower Road, Windsor, will be celebrating their anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2005. The guest speaker will be Deacon Roy Stokes of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor. A special invitation is extended to the Trustee Ministries of area churches. Pleasant Union Baptist Church

The Youth Ministry of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 215 Webb St., will be holding there annual Youth Day Conference from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2005. The church is inviting all local youth to come out. The cost of the conference is $5 per child, which includes lunch.

Antioch UCC

New Suffolk District is sponsoring a trip to the 55th Annual Women’s International Convention of the Church of God In Christ (COGIC) in Atlanta, Ga. May 30 through June 3. For more information call 934-1103.

God’s Anointed Touch Ministries

The youth department of God’s Anointed Touch Ministries is sponsoring an Easter Extravaganza at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at the Windsor School of Dance. This event is open to the community. Food, games, fun and more are available. Also, God’s Anointed Touch Ministries and Hunter’s Production is sponsoring a Gospel Singing at 5 p.m. Easter Sunday, March 27, located at the Windsor School of Dance. The doors open at 4 p.m. and the cost of tickets is $7. The program features the Gospel Harmoneers of Ivor, King Sisters of Hopewell, Gospel Harmoneers of Branchville, Emcee Leroy Butler, Gospel Sensations of Portsmouth, and Pearly Gates of Suffolk. Mission Day program

Easter Egg Factory open

At Beech Grove United Methodist Church, 4251 Drive Lane, the Easter Egg Factory is open from now until March 11. The eggs are hand rolled, dipped and decorated by members and friends. Place orders now for chocolate covered eggs in peanut butter, butter cream, coconut, and fruit and nut flavors in 1 pound, 1/2 pound and 1 ounces sizes sold by the dozen. Tucker Swamp sponsors babysitter class

Tucker Swamp Baptist Church is sponsoring the American Red Cross Babysitter Class (for ages 11 o 15) Saturday, April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $40 with lunch and snacks provided. Scholarships available

The scholarship committee of the Suffolk Christian Church is seeking applications for three scholarships given annually to current Elon students and high school seniors accepted for study at Elon University. Applications should be mailed to the Scholarship Committee, Suffolk Christian Church, 216 North Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434-4421. The deadline for the applications is April 15, 2005.

Oxford United Methodist new outreach program

Oxford United Methodist Church, 601 W. Washington St., has initiated a new outreach program for children in the intermediate area of the church. The &uot;Covenant Club&uot; for boys and girls from ages 6-13 will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month.

The club features music, stories, games, art and snacks. Each child must have a signed permission slip by parent or guardian before attending. To receive a permission slip, call the church office at 539-8253 between 9 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday.

Praise Dance Concert

Solomon’s Temple holds weekly altar prayer

Solomon’s Temple, 12749 Courthouse Highway, will hold altar prayer every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. for CID Session (Christian Instruction to Discipleship Session). Forever Free Outreach Ministry reopens

The Forever Free Outreach Ministry has reopened. Services take place every Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Gates of Heaven COGIC, 112 Beech St., Suffolk. The program is designed to help people who battle addictions. For more information, call 923-0692. Elder Sylvester Silver Sr. is the host pastor.

Healing and deliverance service planned

Liberty Springs sponsors senior citizen’s group
