Two men alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman last month and forced her to steal from local stores were arrested late Friday.
David P. Rice, 38, and William E. Jones, 41, both of Suffolk, are being held without bond in Western Tidewater Regional Jail, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Each is charged with four counts of rape, four counts of sodomy, four counts of abduction and one count of breaking and entering.
According to police, the 26-year-old victim is alleging that Rice and Jones forced their way into her home on Feb. 21 and sexually assaulted her. She is also charging that the men forced her to steal from stores by threatening to harm her children, George said.
