Suffolk authorities are searching for a Chesapeake man accused of impersonating a police officer.
On Tuesday, Suffolk Police issued a warrant for Ronnie Kurt Lowe, 27, of Chesapeake, who on March 9 went into a local roofing company and told employees he was an undercover officer investigating other workers, according to WVEC TV.
Lowe specifically identified himself as a drug enforcement officer, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Lowe was allegedly involved in a similar incident in Chespeake this week.
Chesapeake police told WVEC that Lowe went into the city’s Commissioner of Revenue office and told workers he was an officer. He reportedly displayed a fugitive apprehension badge.
According to court records, Lowe is currently on trial in Chesapeake on a concealed weapons charge.
He has previous grand larceny, robbery and assault convictions.
