Ben Berlin Wright Sr., 73, of 437 Smith St., Suffolk, died March 15, 2005 in Obici Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Capron. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin G. and Eunice Williams Wright and a son, Randy D. Wright.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member and chairman of the Deacon Board of Calvary Cross Restoration Ministries.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Wright; two daughters, Yolanda Wright of Portsmouth and Lynn B. Wright-Blow (Terry) of Suffolk; two sons, Ben B. Wright Jr. of Portsmouth and Andrew Wright of Suffolk; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; father-in-law, Alvin L. Goodman Sr.; seven sisters-in-law; cousins and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 21 in Greater Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church. Bishop Madison G. Copeland will officiate. The interment will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will assemble at the residence by 9:30 a.m. Monday for the processional to the funeral. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
