Laverne Gary, 46, departed this life on March 16, 2005 at Obici Hospital.

She is survived by four sisters, Mildred Lee Brown, Darlene Jones, Elaine Morning and Shirley B. Hunter; one brother, Curtis Lee Bailey; a very special friend, Moses Riddick III; step-son, Isaac Baker; cousins, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 21 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth is in charge of arrangements.
