River baseball tourney starts today

All three Suffolk public school baseball teams will compete in the annual Nansemond River Invitational tournament, which begins at 10 a.m. today. Nansemond River, which finished third last year, will start things off against Wilson at 10 a.m., while Lakeland takes on Landstown at 3 p.m.
King’s Fork will take on Green Run at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, followed by River vs. Bayside and Lakeland vs. Fork.
The Bulldogs face Landstown at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Lakeland following against Green Run and River battling Booker T. Washington.
The tourney’s championship games will be played all day Wednesday.
