On Wednesday, the Tabernacle Christian Church on East Washington Street

was overflowed with family members and friends of the late Terrence Britt, 48, who was found murdered in his Liberty Street apartment Friday morning. Britt, a familiar face in restaurant kitchens in Suffolk over the years, was well-known throughout the community. Korey L. Jacobs, 33, is being held in the Western Tidewater Regional Jail, charged with capital murder, burglary and robbery in connection with Britt’s murder.
