Lakeland sophomores Summer Parker, Kasey Smith, Jamee Albright, Alexis Albright and Kristen Vick earned First Team All-Eastern Region honors for the 2011 field hockey season.

The Lady Cavaliers won their 12th consecutive Southeastern District season championship and 11th straight SED Tournament title this season, going 11-0 through district play. Lakeland finished 15-5 overall and in the semifinals of the Eastern Region Tournament, where Cox beat the Lady Cavaliers 2-1.

Parker, Smith, Vick and both Albrights are part of 14 Lady Cavalier players, out of 16 Lady Cavs on this year’s varsity roster, who will be returning players next fall.

Beach District champion First Colonial, currently in the state tournament semifinals, matched Lakeland with four players on the top all-region squad.
