Stanton Hoy Cole

Stanton Hoy Cole, 80, of Suffolk, died May 13, 2005 at his residence.

Born February 18, 1925 in Snow Hill West Virginia, he was the son of the late Maggie Nutter and William Cole.

Mr. Cole was a World War II veteran, a mechanic at Amadas, and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Cole of Suffolk; daughter, Phyllis C. Baker and husband, Gary of Suffolk; sons, Glen Cole and wife, Francine of Missouri City, Texas, Ronnie Cole and wife, Carol of Lynchburg, Jeff Cole and wife, Kerri of Suffolk; sister, Alda Nutter of Vancouver, Wash; brother, James Cole of Portsmouth; sister-in-law, San-dra Underwood of Suffolk; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. by David C. Jernigan in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
