The wedding ceremony uniting Robin Leigh Solovey of Lawrenceville, Ga., and John Lawrence Fisher III of Duluth, Ga., was held April 16, 2005, at Bruton Parish in Williamsburg.

The Rev. Mr. Neil Alan Willard officiated the double ring ceremony.

A reception given by the bride’s parents was held at Two Rivers Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrick John Solovey of Blacksburg, formerly of Williamsburg. She is a graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

She was a resident scholar at the College of William and Mary during her junior year in college.

After completing her master’s degree at University of Tennessee, Robin interned in the sports marketing department at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. She has been employed by the American Junior Golf Association in Braselton, Ga. since 2001, where she is now the director of Special Events/Recruiting.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lawrence Fisher Jr., of Suffolk. Jay is a graduate of Furman College, Greenville, S. C., where he was a four-year letterman on the men’s golf team. In 1998, Jay captured the title at the Virginia State Amateur.

He is employed as an assistant golf professional at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Karen Tompkins.

Also attending the bride were Mrs. Travis Schnell, Dr. Julie Ferguson, Ms. Page Kroner and Ms. Allison Elkins.

Mr. Fisher was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen included

Mr. Stephen Bailey, Mr. Walker Hill III, Mr. John David Gardy, Captain Michael Solovey, brother of the bride and Mr. Jonathan Fisher, brother of the groom.

Readers included Mrs. Bethany Bailey, Ms. Laura Orlen and Ms. Jennifer Thompson. Greeters and program attendants included Miss Lauren Walker, Miss Kristen Walker, Miss Carolyn Duke and Miss Emma Hardy.

Guest book attendants were Miss Chelsea Holland and Miss Madeline Duke.

Miss Abigail Blythe Erlandson was soloist.

The bride wore an ivory strapless gown trimmed in blue at the dropped waistline and accented by a long blue sash. Her cathedral length veil was worn by her mother-in-law on the occasion of her marriage. She carried two wedding bands worn by the groom’s grandfathers tucked securely in her bouquet.

Courtesies included a breakfast honoring the bride and her attendants held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Nicanor Sutingco of Williamsburg.

A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at the Williamsburg Winery. A Sunday brunch was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brown of Williamsburg.

The couple made their home in Lawrenceville, Ga., after their honeymoon in Monterey, Calif., which included a round of golf at Pebble Beach.
