God has turned the sunset for Doreatha B. Warren into a sunrise. She had a safe crossing from earth into eternity. During the late afternoon of Sunday, May 22, 2005, she departed from her earthly home. Doreatha B. Warren was the daughter of the late Mat and Amanda Veal King. She was born April 13, 1935, in Nansemond County. She was educated in the Suffolk School System.
She is a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Church and a retired machine operator of Planter Peanuts. She entered into holy matrimony to Joseph Boone and to this union, five children were born, a son, Wayne B. Boone predeceased her. Doreatha leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Winfield Warren Jr.; three daughters, Jacqueline B. Holland (Paul) Vanessa B. Minggie (Issac) and Annie D. Clayborne (James); a son, Joseph H. Boone Jr. (Gloria); eight grandchildren, Willie Jordan, Antonio Boone, Christopher Holland, Shanell Williams, Lakeya Boone, Bryan Clayborne, Joseph D. Boone and Bryanna Clayborne; three great-grandchildren, Eddie Woodley, Nakiyah Jordan and Willie Jordan III; two brothers, William F. King and William E. King; a sister, Rachael Jacobs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25,2005 in the Chapel of T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. The interment will be held in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
