New Dominion Pictures closing Suffolk location, auction to be held

SUFFOLK, Virginia—A press release from Auction757.com says New Dominion Pictures will close its location in Suffolk. An auction with over 840 lots will run through Jan. 14, 2025. Items for sale include props, film sets, antique and vintage furniture and clothing, all office furniture and equipment, audio/visual/lighting filming equipment, tools, storage buildings, film sets, and landscaping plants. 

New Dominion Pictures produced programs for major TV networks including Discovery Channel, Destination America, The History Channel, and National Geographic.  According to the release, the company hired Auction757 to conduct an online auction at its Suffolk location. 

The release says the auction will run until Jan. 14, 2025, and will include over 840 lots. Items for sale include props, film sets, antique and vintage furniture and clothing, all office furniture and equipment, audio/visual/lighting filming equipment, tools, storage buildings, film sets, and landscaping plants.

According to the release, the scrap rights to the building will also be sold as the buildings are scheduled to be torn down to make way for more new condos.
