National Night Out rankings are out, where did Suffolk land?

The 2024 National Night Out (NNO) rankings have been released and even though Suffolk catapulted into a new population category of 100,000-300,000, it was able to crack the top 10 in attendance for the 2024 event. 

Suffolk’s Director of Media and Community Relations Jennifer Moore, who also serves as the chair of the Suffolk National Night Out committee, told the mayor and city council during the Dec. 4 meeting, she was proud of the achievement. 

“Top 10 is quite the achievement, right out of the gate … I am proud of us” Moore said.

Moore also thanked the community, volunteers, and public safety officials for a successful event. 

During closing announcements, many members commended the achievement and are hopeful to see Suffolk rise in the ranks in 2025. 

Suffolk is one of four Virginia areas which placed in the top 15. The list of the top 15 are listed below.
