A celebratory atmosphere filled the air in Suffolk, as city officials and New Realm Brewing executives gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 22. Located at 5941 Harbour View Blvd., the brewery, distillery, and restaurant is now open seven days a week and is the company’s sixth location and its second in Virginia. 

Suffolk Mayor Michael Duman joined New Realm’s leadership team at the ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the city’s embrace of the new business. Carey Falcone, CEO of New Realm Brewing, expressed his enthusiasm for the Suffolk location, emphasizing the importance of community connections for the company. He highlighted their successful six-year presence in Virginia Beach and their eagerness to extend the New Realm experience to the people of Suffolk.

The Suffolk location is led by a team of industry veterans, including world-renowned Brewmaster Mitch Steele and Chief Operating Officer Brian Faivre to bring their expertise to the brewing process, with Kane Wille serving as head brewer. 

The culinary program is led by Chef John Urena, who brings over 17 years of experience from New York City and Virginia, including the successful opening of New Realm Virginia Beach and other Hampton Roads breweries and restaurants. 

New Realm Brewing is known for its popular beers like Hazy Like a Fox IPA, Kickflipper West Coast IPA, Psychedelic Rabbit, and Tank Dog. 

The company also boasts successful partnerships with the American rock band Blackberry Smoke and several universities, including Auburn University, Kennesaw State University, Georgia Tech, and Old Dominion University. 

With the opening of its sixth location, New Realm Brewing continues to expand its reach, bringing its unique blend of craft beer, delicious food, and community engagement to more and more people.
