Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to a chemical spill at Sentara Obici Tuesday evening. According to a spokesperson with Sentara, three gallons of a chemical fixative, Formalin, spilled in a storage room at Sentara Obici Hospital. Sentara Environmental Services team and an unnamed contractor are currently cleaning up the spill. According to Sentara, patient care is unaffected.
